The Dameron Hospital Foundation was established on November 25, 1981, to serve as the fundraising arm of Dameron Hospital. The first president of the Foundation was Robert Hake. The trustees of the Foundation include a diverse group of community leaders who volunteer their time to serve on committees that direct the Foundation in fulfilling its mission.

Since its creation, the Foundation has raised over$10 million, which has enabled Foundation staff to support the hospital in all areas of expansion, building and remodeling. Through Foundation efforts, for example, the hospital was able to update its heart catheterization lab to meet the vigorous demands of physicians and their patients.
