From initial consultation to rehabilitation, our Orthopedic specialists deliver high quality orthopedic services to adult and pediatric orthopedic patients.

The Dameron Hospital Orthopedic Program offers comprehensive care from a multidisciplinary team of orthopedic surgeons, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, care coordinators, and discharge planners.

Developed in Response to Growth
In 2002, in response to a substantial increase in the number of orthopedic patients admitted at Dameron Hospital 2nd East became the orthopedic/medical surgical floor. Today, Dameron's surgical teams performs more than 650 hip, knee, shoulder joint replacement surgeries.

Orthopedic services for adult and pediatric patients include:

  • pre-operative education class
  • advance planning for discharge care
  • onsite evaluation
  • rehabilitation

Total Joint Surgery Education
Through our Total Joint Venture program, Dameron Hospital also offers a twice-monthly pre-surgery class for those facing elective total joint surgery. The class offers detailed information regarding surgery procedures, nursing care (pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative), physical therapy expectations and occupational therapy care, expectations, and goals.
