Robotic Surgery

Most advanced robotic surgery in Stockton!

At Dameron Hospital, we’re committed to bringing the best care and latest technologies to our patients. That’s why we’re proud to offer the da Vinci Xi Robotic Surgery System. Robotic-assisted surgery is a minimally invasive technology that gives surgeons enhanced vision, precision and control.

With the surgeon sitting at a viewing console just a few feet from the patient, the da Vinci System translates the surgeon’s hand movements into corresponding micro-movements of the surgical instruments.

This system enables physicians to perform delicate and complex operations through tiny incisions with enhanced precision, dexterity and control, with the benefit of a high-definition, three-dimensional vision system. Although the da Vinci is referred to as “robotic” surgery, the system is not autonomous. The robot does not perform surgery, and the surgeon is in complete control of the instruments at all times.

From the patient’s perspective, receiving a minimally invasive procedure from a robotic-assisted surgery system like the da Vinci Xi results in:

  • Fewer complications
  • Less post-surgical pain and blood loss
  • Less scarring
  • Shorter hospital stay
  • Quicker recovery
  • Faster return to normal daily activities

This new system is the latest generation of the da Vinci System and is the most advanced robotic surgery system now available in Stockton.
