Vascular Surgery

If you have a problem in your arteries or veins that could be helped with surgery, the vascular specialists at Dameron Hospital are here for you.

Our surgeons use traditional and minimally invasive techniques to treat diseases of the arteries and veins. Two of the more common conditions we treat are peripheral artery disease (poor circulation to the limbs) and carotid artery disease, which can cause a stroke.

When you need an experienced vascular surgeon

If you need vascular surgery, it’s good to know you’re in the highly capable hands of our team. Our cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons have extensive experience treating vascular conditions. They’re also top-rated members of our renowned cardiothoracic surgery team and perform open-heart surgeries at Dameron.

You can also count on high-quality, personalized care from our highly trained nurses, physician assistants, anesthesiologists and other medical staff.

We understand that vein and artery problems can affect your quality of life and your health. We’ll work to schedule your surgery promptly, so you can get back to your life sooner than sometimes happens at other centers.

Throughout your vascular surgery journey, you’ll receive personal attention and support for you and your family. Our caring staff will meet with you and walk you through what to expect before, during and after your surgery.

You’ll have your vascular surgery in Dameron’s state-of-the-art operating facilities. These rooms are equipped with everything our surgeons need to perform safe, vascular procedures with excellent results.

Here are a few of the procedures we offer:

  • Carotid endarterectomy to reduce the risk of stroke.
  • Femoral endarterectomy and femoral popliteal bypass surgeries to improve circulation to the legs.
  • Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) and abdominal aortic aneurysm surgery. We use open and endovascular techniques to repair a bulging or leaking abdominal aorta.
  • Kidney fistula surgery. While other vascular surgeries treat blocked arteries in the neck and legs, this same-day procedure creates a vascular access port in an arm or a leg so that a person can receive kidney dialysis.
